Getting around AUS
The Barbara Jordan Terminal is the main terminal. The separate South Terminal handled Allegiant and Frontier through March 31, 2026; from April 1, 2026 those airlines moved to the main terminal. Three TSA checkpoints operate (1, 2 East, 2 West); Checkpoint 3 is closed through 2026.
Where hotel shuttles pick up at AUS
ABIA Parking runs Economy Lot shuttles to the Barbara Jordan Terminal from the curbside departure level. Rideshare pickup is at ground level under the Consolidated Rental Car Facility behind the Red Garage, reached by a tram from Red Garage 1st floor or the Mobility Tram from Red Garage 3rd floor (4 a.m.–8 p.m.).
This is the detail most travelers get wrong. Confirm the pickup point with your hotel when you book — shuttle stops move during construction, and at several airports they are not at the arrivals curb at all.
Worth knowing at AUS: AUS parking reservations are under a blackout — no new bookings can be made from May 18 to August 16, 2026, per the official ABIA Parking site, leaving drive-up only during that window. With Economy frequently showing FULL, a nearby hotel-with-parking booking is the reliable fallback in summer.
