Getting around FLL
Four terminals — 1, 2, 3 and 4 — plus a separate Rental Car Center. A post-security connector walkway linking Terminals 2 and 3 is under construction.
Where hotel shuttles pick up at FLL
Hotel and off-airport parking shuttles pick up at lettered Ground Transportation Areas (GTA) on the lower/Arrivals curbside, not at the terminal doors. Current routing: Terminal 1 turn right to GTA 1; Terminal 2 turn left toward GTA 2; Terminal 3 turn right to GTA 3; Terminal 4 turn left to GTA 3.
This is the detail most travelers get wrong. Confirm the pickup point with your hotel when you book — shuttle stops move during construction, and at several airports they are not at the arrivals curb at all.
Where FLL airport hotels cluster
Airport-area hotels near FLL are concentrated in Dania Beach (including Dania Pointe), Fort Lauderdale airport/cruise-port corridor (Griffin Rd / SR-84), Hollywood, FL. Staying inside one of these clusters is usually what makes a free shuttle and included parking possible in the first place.
Worth knowing at FLL: Exit any FLL self-park lot within 20 minutes of entering and you pay nothing; past 20 minutes normal rates apply retroactively from entry. Note that GTA 2 and GTA 4 have been closed since 2025 for the Terminal 2–3 connector project, so confirm your GTA before walking — airport signage may still point at the closed ones.
