Getting around HNL
Terminal 1, Terminal 2 and the International Arrivals Building, each with its own garage. The Terminal 1 garage is seven stories; the Terminal 2 garage is five stories with pedestrian walkways to T2 on the fourth level; the International garage sits across from the International Arrivals Building with 1,800 spaces. Total capacity is roughly 5,924 stalls.
Where hotel shuttles pick up at HNL
HNL's free Wiki Wiki Shuttle buses carry passengers between the C and G gates and Terminals 1 and 2; three electric trams now run the same route, boarding on the THIRD level with carry-on baggage, daily 10 a.m.–6 p.m. Drivers meeting arrivals may wait free for up to one hour in the Cellular Telephone Waiting areas. HDOT does not publish a curb position for hotel courtesy shuttles.
This is the detail most travelers get wrong. Confirm the pickup point with your hotel when you book — shuttle stops move during construction, and at several airports they are not at the arrivals curb at all.
Worth knowing at HNL: If the Terminal 1 garage is full, don't leave the airport — drive to the 6th level, where a vehicle bridge crosses directly into the International Parking Garage and its 1,800 additional spaces. Exiting that garage feeds straight onto H-1 in both directions and Nimitz Highway.
