Getting around SJC
Terminal A and Terminal B, both along Airport Boulevard and not connected airside. SJC posts an estimated 15-minute walk between them. Free shuttle buses link both terminals and the Rental Car Center every 7–10 minutes, 24 hours a day.
Where hotel shuttles pick up at SJC
Hotel courtesy shuttles pick up at Terminal A's Ground Transportation Center, Stop #8, and at Terminal B, Stop #12, directly to the right of Baggage Claim. Many hotels require a phone call once you have landed. Inter-terminal and Rental Car Center shuttles use Terminal A Stop #6 and Terminal B Stops #3 or #4 on the mid-street island.
This is the detail most travelers get wrong. Confirm the pickup point with your hotel when you book — shuttle stops move during construction, and at several airports they are not at the arrivals curb at all.
Worth knowing at SJC: The Terminal B Garage costs $41/day while the Terminal A Garage costs $25/day — a $16/day gap bridged by a free 24-hour shuttle running every 7–10 minutes, or a 15-minute walk. Parking at the 'wrong' terminal on purpose is the single easiest saving at SJC.
